A PAPER ON GRID-CONNECTED SOLAR EV CHARGING INFRASTRUCTURE SYSTEMS
Keywords:
Grid-connected system, Solar photovoltaic (PV), Electric vehicle (EV) charging, Smart charging, Energy management, Battery energy storageAbstract
This paper endeavors to integrate photovoltaic (PV) energy with conventional power grids to facilitate sustainable transportation by analyzing the design, performance, and feasibility of grid-connected solar electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure systems. This paper examines the optimal balance between operational costs, grid reliance, and charging efficiency by examining system design, energy management strategies, and load balancing solutions. It assesses the impact of factors such as solar generation fluctuation, smart charging algorithms, and the integration of battery storage on system reliability and energy consumption. Two of the environmental and economic benefits that the paper examines are the reduction of carbon emissions and the enhancement of energy resilience. The results emphasize the potential of solar-powered electric vehicle charging stations to boost the demand for renewable energy and establish a mobility ecosystem that is both energy-efficient and low-carbon.
